Another anime image find that just made me go "Ooooh! *_*". For those who don't know, this is Presea from the cast of Magic Knight Rayearth. Presea is definitly one of those cool characters who you can't help but be in awe of.

For this, I cleaned up some of the discoloration towards the bottom, and then used a mask to isolate the sketch and flood-filled it with black to get a nice clean copy. Then I just copied it in different colors, positioned them, and faded the layers.

One thing I would do differently now (and may sometime in the future, if I think about it) would be to redo it so that Presea wasn't just transparency and line, but had some whitespace too. That way the main image wouldn't have the background stuff showing through, and it would look less cluttered and more realistic.
